What a National Show! The GPR crew brought home 22 ribbons and 5 honorable mentions. Congratulations to Robin on another fine show year. Bendito de la Primera, owned by John Solomon IV was the big prize winner as Grand National Champion Performance Gelding. Patriota AJ was the workhorse of the week winning 3 Reserve National Championships and 2 Honorable Mentions in the Championship class. Patriota is owned by Ivey Solomon. Congratulations to Amanda David winning 4th National Champion on her A/O Performance  Stallion, Roul. Jane Solomon Nowell got her first National Championship when Moot Point's Abogado won his Bellas Formas class. Lothario Ltd won the Breeder's Sweepstakes Colt Class. Lothario is owned by Daneen Hitchcock.

The atmosphere at Conyers is great! Lots of fun, it's casual, and good competition. Jane Nowell had a great

first show on her new 3 year old Pleasure Gelding, Moot Point's Abogado. Patriota AJ did well as usual as did Campanita del Caney. La Nieta, 3 year old Pleasure Filly had a good first show. Denise Van Ness continued her success on Testimonio Con Alas. And, Amanda David did very well on her Performance A/O Stallion, Roul. The usual suspects also did well including A Cappella's Carisma (sire of both Abogado and Nieta), Ilustre QC, and Califa. Everyone had a good time on Saturday night watching (and participating in) the fun classes!

We had a great time and a great show in Asheville this year. It's a long drive, but worth the time and effort since many of the nation's best horses make the trip each year. This year faired well for the GPR group (John Solomon IV and V, J. Leigh Solomon, Denise Van Ness, Daneen Hitchcock, Amanda David, and Cathy Scher). John IV earned first places on his

Pleasure A/O Stallion, Ilustre, John V earned first place on the Fino A/O Stallion, Califa, Denise placed on both her Pleasure A/O Stallion and her 4 year old Pleasure A/O Gelding. Mrs. H won numerous ribbons, plaques (and some money) with Bella Formas horses and the striking 4 year old Plesaure Filly, Gala. J. Leigh had a good first show with her new gelding, Terminator, Amanda's 4 year old Pleasure Gelding placed in both the futurity and the class, Cathy made the long trip down to visit her gelding, Carbonero, and the Ratliff owned Performance Mare, Campanita took home first places in the class and championship. Good friends, good times, and good horses!

Gulf PFHA really does a nice job with their Primavera show. The atmosphere is so much fun and brings out a feeling of friendship and community. Put this show on your calendar next year, you won't regret it! Congratulations to Denise Van Ness on a great job with her 4 year old Pleasure gelding, Testimonio Con Alas. John Solomon V made a big splash with his Performance Stallion, and John IV had an excellent debut with his Pleasure Stallion, Illustre QC. Robin wowed the crowd on Friday afternoon with several machine gun boards riding Grand National Champion Performance Stallion A Cappella's Carisma! Nivia Buchanan brought home, a blue ribbon riding El Dorado Sin Par. Nivia's niece Nicole Texeira did extremely well in her first show and had the added pressure of riding a different horse when her horse went lame on Thursday. Great job, Nicole!
